Danielle Poker World Update

Well, its been quite some time since I have written which is quite odd right? Regardless, here I go again with a Danielle Poker World update. Due to many things that have happened behind the scenes my blogging and article writing has been on the back burner. Time to kick it into gear again!

So behind the scenes for me I have been watching the updates and legal crap I really need to and want to know about when it comes to online poker. I have been sorting out my own poker game as I was slacking a little on my studies etc etc, I have been starting web development on my own sites and finalizing projects which have been running for a very long time. I have started working a regular job but to do with poker and casino gaming (of course).

During this course I have had many meetings and discussions about our Australian Poker News issues and the effect many online changes have had on it. I have also helped with the upgrading of Australian Poker Weekly from print to online (which is almost done - yay!)

My fair share of health problems has kept me from radio, although I started back again today on ontiltradio.com where I discussed all the health issues i have had - funny show, too bad you missed it :D Music scene has seen me write some more lyrics for Jimmie Lees up and coming album - make sure you watch for them!

I will get back to and continue my moms in poker articles on womanpokerplayer.com and when it comes to womens poker August sets womenspokernews.com back into motion and full operation.

I will be working as an editor on pokerlivenews.com and many other sites in the coming months you will see this in sudden full swing with pokerlivenews being a 2 year project in reality, the same for some other sites but pokerlivenews and womenspokernews my babies. You may also see pokersitenews.com and pokeradd.com pop up out of no where, kind of like my sons site did: deckboy.com (not bad for a 10 year old to own huh?).

I am looking for writers at the moment and have had many offers of contribution so people can get their name out into the industry. Most of us started working for free, if your interested keep this in mind. I am after alllllll kinds of writers! News, articles, strategy, pokerlife, sportsbetting, poker celebrity paparazzi if you must, comedy - anything poker that your heart desires that is YOUR style!!! I am awaiting more details on the Poker Player Academy which I thought looked quite fantastic and will update as soon as i get them. It seems very upstanding with some great named pros in. Although it works kind of like a pyramid, its all about the training as far as i am concerned and if it comes from the best - yay!

I have had discussions with many people around the world about the live poker scene and are really happy to see some series expanding and also offering ladies only events. I have also been watching the WSOP carefully, up until Tony Hachem busted and then I turned it off (sorry everyone!). I was hoping to see a final table for him - NEXT YEAR!!!!!

THE JERSEY OUTLAW, JIMMIE LEE HITS BIG EVENTS THIS SUMMER

Jimmie Lee, The Jersey Outlaw-The Bad Boy of Country Rock, gets ready to make the big splash this summer in the country rock and poker arena with several big events that promise to be the best of the best! Jimmies got big events that include live venues, poker tournament appearances, the big photo shoot at the Chelsea Hotel , release of a new CD-KID VEGAS, and many more extravaganzas!! The Outlaw's just hit Vegas and left a trail of dust behind, in what claims to be the big poker anthem for the poker world with his new song , IM ALL IN. Jimmies new hit single combines rock with crossover country and a dash of rap , and perfectly captures the emotions that poker players feel while waiting for that crucial card! This explosive single has taken the poker world by storm, and has been the "talk of the town" in many poker magazines, as well as receiving major airplay on several poker radio stations. Supermodel Cindy Margolis loves the song, and commented, "The only thing hotter than Jimmies song....is Jimmie himself!"

Jimmie Lee is taking to the stage for the 2011 Jersey Outlaw "ALL OR NOTHING" Road Tour with planned stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Antonio, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and more. Some of the shows are headlining gigs, while others will see Jimmie open for classic acts as Thorogood, ZZ Top, and others. Our Bad Boy of Country Rock has the Big Photo Shoot slated for Weds, June 29th at the Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City. The rumor is that Jimmies locked down Top Playboy Models for this event, compliments of Mike Esterman, celebrity booking agent!

So, as you can see, The Jersey Outlaw is definitely taking the ride into country rock stardom, and Jimmies one to watch and definitely one to listen to!

The Outlaw will also be making select appearances at Celebrity and Charity Poker Tournaments throughout the year. These events feature Jimmie and The Bandito Girls , with track shows, and are always a big hit with the poker players! There's rumor that Jimmies new single may make it to the World Series of Poker this year, as the theme song, which airs on ESPN.

And, there are big poker events planned in Atlantic City and Las Vegas throughout the year, and look for Jimmie Lee , who will be the featured artist at some of these live tournaments. The Outlaw is cross-branding with the release of the New Jimmie Lee Collector Poker T-Shirt, now available at www.highrollerclothing.com. So as you can see, Jimmie Lee has made a huge dent into the poker arena this year with his new hit single.

The Jersey Outlaw has just written a new poker song, HIT THE RIVER RUNNING, with hotaussiechick and poker guru, Danielle Adams-Benham, soon to be released along with 5 new killer songs. Jimmies new Album, JIMMIE LEE-KID VEGAS will debut this Fall 2011, with the style of music more in the rock genre!

Psst!! Jimmie may be appearing on a Top TV Reality Show later this year, as talks are in the works!! This is really big, and we'll keep you all informed on this.

Aussie Poker Millions Hat Trick Adventure

This will likely be my last blog post before I take off to the 2011 Aussie Millions Poker Championship with my partner and photographer Tyrone Hunter to report on the $100,000.00 challenge. That's not what i wanted to write about though. I wanted to discuss my thoughts on the whole Aussie patriotism and the possible results of the Aussie Millions 2011 being, a possible Aussie Hat Trick!

We have witnessed 2 Aussie fairy tale endings in a row now, being the wonderful win by Stewart Scott followed by the win of Tyron Krost, also an Aussie. We Aussies like doing things in threes, there is nothing better then a hat trick (3 in a row) for us! Will the Aussie crowd roar as another Aussie crosses the Aussie Millions Poker Championship finish line in first place?

My thoughtful adventure on this topic started last January after Tyron Krost won the main event. Many of the Aussie spectators didn't even realize he was an Aussie and left! I remember having a small talk to Marsha Waggoner saying, I am sure there is one Aussie left (3 handed). Tyrone my partner disagreed as did most others in the crowd. I then looked around to see the Aussie cheer squad gone to realize I must have been wrong. Gladly there was one Aussie left and of course as stated he was victorious.

The very next day i was shocked to say the least - 2 Aussie Poker Players in a row! I started to think of that hat trick then and there and knew that 2011 would be even sweeter if an Aussie was on the final table. The live bloggers would be going crazy!

Anyway, I got to thinking of all the winning Aussies, we have a lot of them now. So many solid players! I wondered to myself who I would love to see win. i have so many close Aussie friends playing in the event and would so sweetly love to see them win. I have so many friends overseas though playing also. I will be cheering whoever my closest friend is on the final table I guess! But to witness a hat trick is something i would also love to see.

My first stop on this little adventure will be the player welcome party. This will follow with a close railing of the $100,000.00 Challenge and then the main event! A hat trick adventure of my own - my 3 favorite and what I consider to be the most exciting and important events on the calender.

To all those already there - I look forward to seeing you and wish you the very best. I am off on a pre adventure to find a dress to wear, I just don't have one that's suitable! I might stop by the hair salon and the beauty therapist along the way. I think a new pair of swim wear is also on the cards as well as a stack of caffeine tablets for the late nights ahead. Here's hoping for a fabulous time! - Did I mention it's the third year in a row with Tyrone by my side as a companion at the events? Certainly a hat trick for me already! It is also the 3rd year in a row that i will be writing for APW (Australian Poker Weekly) at the event, and that Tyrone will be taking pics! Howz That!

New Poker Song I'm ALL IN Co-Written by Hot Aussie Chick Danielle Adams-Benham Releases!

As mentioned in a previous blog I have been busy co-writing the new hit poker song I'm ALL IN by Jimmie Lee Jersey Outlaw. The song can be heard by clicking here: Jimmie Lee Song I'm ALL IN! I have taken my writing to a new level that it seems no other poker journalist has before and i am pretty ecstatic about it!

I'm ALL IN is being released this week on iTunes and available for purchase at CDBaby. The Jersey Outlaw and myself decided there were just not enough poker songs available to grind away to as poker players listened to their iPods and music from their PC's while playing.

Everyone know the songs “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers and “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga, but we decided that a little new age rock with a country fling was on the cards for music lovers and poker players.

We know that "I'm ALL IN" perfectly captures the emotions that a poker player feels when they are sweating it out in a big tournament or cash game praying that the poker gods will deliver the right card to seal their fate. We know as I have felt it!

The Year That Was 2010

I am not sure how everyone's poker year was but I had a blast! Life itself as usual mimicked my poker game with its ups and downs, a lot a of downs actually in both but a lot of ups and many surprises too! I had a blast in January at the Aussie Millions Poker Championship covering the tournament for Australian Poker Weekly, Woman Poker Player Magazine and for my own eyes also. It was a treat to see Marsha Waggoner inducted into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame and to see Annette Obrestad win her event and a gold ring. It was also a blast railing Sorel Mizzi on the final table, I must not be very patriotic was my determination on that! 2 Aussies at the final table and I was sitting with crew huggy! January also saw me have a fabulous birthday, meet with friends in real life such as Erik Aude' & Barry Woods.

February I set sail to Sydney with my son to meet up with Barry and Allyn Shulman where I toured the cruise boat they were holidaying on, have some dinner at the RockPool and share some special moments with my son in the pouring rain at various Sydney attractions. Meeting up with Barry and Allyn was one of the years most memorable times! They are such fabulous people and I class them as great friends!

WTF Poker was soon born and i found myself teaming up firstly with Hannah Elizabeth who definitely brings the broad back into broadcasting, she is one hell of a lady! Global time was an issue with that little project so we parted ways and I again teamed up with another co-host David Saab. Again, a traveling pro and time constraints causing issues saw WTF poker go on hold till i can get my own head around it!

Womens Poker News at this stage was also starting to rock along, health saw me slow down on that one, lets face it - there are only so many things a woman can do! Between Dr battles, livers shutting down, endometriosis and 4 kids, I had so much to do! Priorities saw WPN (Womens Poker News) go on hold - rest assured it WILL be back though just like WTF Poker!

I however continued a little writing as the year went along for a lot of different poker media outlets including: Woman Poker Player Magazine, Australian Poker Weekly (who has now had it's 100th edition!), Canadian Poker Tour Magazine, IPPAGlobal, Poker Pro Maga zine Online, Poker Pro Magazine Canada, Poker Pro Magazine Europe, Poker Pro Magazine USA and of course this blog (to name a few). I wonder at times why i am not writing for more Australian Magazines, I guess its my lack of patriotism as I have determined my work is of high quality!

The fabulous Pokeriety also started up on facebook and I am hoping that ALL of you have become part of Team Down Under Danielle - If you have not as yet join up! Pokeriety is the game of fun and its totally free for you all to play. I am hoping the coming year will see our team onslaught the rest of the world. Again, it seems I am not patriotic, I could just have team Australia or Team Down Under, I have far too many friends abroad! Team Down Under Danielle is an indicator that I simply come from Down Under and have a Team Down Under me too, it also matches the blog you read.

I played very little online poker at the start of the year as I was so busy battling health issues, kids and what not but that did not stop FeltStars approaching me about a nice sponsorship deal which thrilled me to pieces! Needless to say, I took the deal, signed the paper and started having interviews rather then getting other peoples stories. Quite a change in lifestyle there! I am proudly a Team FeltStars Pro, the only female and currently 1 of 2 Aussies. FeltStars is growing rapidly and I love being part of our fabulous hard working team!

I had quite nice few wins and placings from here on in soaring my cash rate a little higher with further study on my game and what i was doing wrong. I also headed to represent FeltStars at the only 2 tourneys I have been physically able to this year: Melbourne Champs teams event and ladies event. The teams event I went out against a gutshot straight flush and the ladies event not only did i play like crap but my opponents were terrible as i copped beat after beat that was just unbelievable. I certainly made up for the beats that night with bourbons!

The end of the year has seen me join forces with Per Hagen and Joe Wass at Poker Publicist where we create BUZZ about YOU just alike I created buzz about myself to get everything i have gotten to date in this crazy world of poker. The most amazing thing this year for me poker wise was co-writing the song I'm ALL IN with Jimmie Lee Jersey outlaw which is only a few weeks away from releasing. Certainly I am one to step outside the square and this little project placed a cherry on top of the years poker ice cream! If i am not touring next year to spend 12 hours at a time in tourneys which I might still not be physically fit for, I will be hanging out the top of Jimmies Limo with Tyrone, Jimmie and 4 kids by my side drinking JD's lol.

I cant complain about my health anymore, i have just been cleared by the doctor liver wise, "live as normal, don't get legless and do not take nurophen" were the most wonderful words I heard this year, other then I LOVE YOU from my kids, Tyrone and my family and friends. I have much support this year and have given more in return, I would really like to thank and make mention to a new few special friends and friends of old in no particular order. If I missed you off my list it is simply as I am emotional thinking of everyone!

Poker Songs Im ALL IN To Be Released January

I decided at the beginning of the year that there simply was not enough good poker songs for us to listen to. Certainly there wasn't any that I could play that really suited the feelings of actually playing poker. This resulted in my co-writing a song with Jimmie Lee Jersey Outlaw called I'm ALL IN; to be released in January 2011.

The poker songs that we have the option to listen to are well known and over played. How many times have most people played "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers and now "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga? It was this thought that made me do what I always do - create and write!

Over the years poker has changed. Back in the days of the dead man's hand quite possibly "On a warm summers evening, on a train bound to no-where" may have been suitable as would the words "You gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em". Mostly we all look for big tournament wins now. The song I'm ALL IN is more based on these.

The song doesn't carry on about keeping a poker face, losing your shirt or knowing poker strategy. It is based on the feelings we have when playing a poker tournament and working our way to the big one, the big win, hitting that river card when we are all in and every feeling that we get from the second we make the all in call until that river card does hit for us!

The song isn't Lady Gaga style either. I am a rocker of old and Jimmie Lee is a rocker too, he usually has a bit of a country twists (country rock) and I think the song takes him just to the borderline of rock only. The song is very much "Jet" sounding.

I often wonder what possesses me to do such things and there is a good explanation for this little project! I almost went deaf as a child through rock music! My dad is a singer, song writer, guitarist. He played as back up band lead singer before AC/DC many times in Sydney when I was little and was well known around the Sydney Beach areas and most other parts of Australia. The death of Bon Scott had huge impact on our family and he lightened up on playing rock as AC/DC got their new singer which was obviously not him - he turned them down for the record because of me!

The rock however lives on in my family and will live forever now through Jimmie Lee, Jersey Outlaw and Poker. I would like to extend my blog post to thank Jimmie for taking my words into account and allowing me to be part of the song I'm ALL IN which I am hoping will be a huge hit.
